How To Recycle.

The first and probably easiest way to recycle a newspaper is to shred it and add it to your existing compost pile, provided that you have confirmed that the ink used is natural and non-toxic. Shredded newspaper will hold moisture and does break down when mixed with the compost. Be careful not to add any of the glossy magazine or advertising sections, as they usually contain an extra chemical to add the shine to them, which you do not want to add to your “natural” growing mixture.

Machine shredding is probably most effective and is easy if you own a leaf shredder, but shredding by hand will certainly do the job. Mix well into the compost heap allows you to utilize it just as a regular potting mixture.

Another way to recycle newspapers is in the garden, using the newspaper as mulch. Simply lay out the sections, overlapping them in heavy mat around the plants. This provides a great way to keep the weeds out and helps keep moisture around the plants. Cover the exposed paper with compost mixture and you’ve got a well-protected garden.

Some of the other uses are probably ones you’ve tried before. If you enjoy paper mache crafts, you make an adobe mix with clay and paper strips.

Another way to save paper by using old newspaper is to use it for wrapping gifts: The Sunday comics for kids presents, Style section for housewarming, Bridal section for a shower gift or financial section for a graduation gift.

There are other uses besides recycling for old newspapers. They come in handy is to clean windows without the streaks and lint that is often left by paper towels. Newspaper strips can be rolled to make excellent fireplace tinder as it burns well, and it makes a great drop cloth in a pinch. It will biodegrade much faster than plastic.

What does RECYCLE means?
-Recycling is the processing of used materials into new products to save resources and energy, and the collection, storage and transportation of those materials from the initial user.

Planet Earth.

Planet Earth is part of an amazing, vast universe.
Earth provides everything we need.
Don't you think so?

Why do we need to save the Earth?
Earth is in danger & we need to act fast.
Global-warming, Air pollution, Cutting down of trees
are some of the problems faced by the Earth.
The Ozone Layer is getting thinner and thinner
despite of the air pollution produced by factories and industrial companies.
But who is to blame?
Humans. Humans caused these problems, & Earth suffers.

What can we do to stop the problems from getting worse?
-Use water wisely.
Close the tap when you're brushing your teeth.
Little things can make a big difference.
Do not waste water.

-Walk or ride a bicycle to school/work.
You can reduce greenhouse gases while burning some calories and improving your health.

-And most of all, RECYCLE.
Place things that can be recycled to the correct bins.
Example, plastic bottles should be place in the plastic bin.
You can help save the Earth.
